The gore is moderate, there are a few cutscenes that i wouldn't show the kids though. The gameplay is decent, sometimes turning around is tricky. the classic scissorman of the first games of the series is lacking in this one, but is replaced with a multitude of newer enemies. Yet unfortunately at the beginning of the third section, it all goes downhill, using mediocre jump scares, as well as a very thin plot that could be straight out of final fantasy, definately not fit for a game of it's genre. The first 2 levels and bosses of this game had this at at LEAST number 3 on my favorite games of all time list, next to silent hill 1 and 2.
